Bav has always had her mind focused on becoming an entrepreneur. Ever since she was a young girl, she has had an eye for fashion, hair and makeup. In her early teens, Bav would help her friends and family get ready for events - at first it was a hobby of hers that she enjoyed. However, as she grew up it became her dream to become a Professional Makeup Artist - with the support of her family, she pursued to follow her dreams of becoming Makeup Artist. In July 2012, Bav went to a well-known school in Vancouver for her Diploma in Freelance Hair and Makeup. Once Bav graduated she started to working as a part-time freelancer in Vancouver while working Sephora where she became a Brand Ambassador. Bav then set out a goal to start her own business, bybavbrar - providing hair and makeup services for special events.
Over the years Bav has worked with many clients for example backstage at the Times of India Awards Show and backstage at a Manish Malhotra fashion show. She also grew her skills from many master artists that work for some of the best brands in the beauty industry such as: Nars, Urban Decay, Makeup Forever, Dior, YSL, Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Ole Henriksen and etc. In 2020, Bav Brar was selected by Mario Dedivanovic, Celebrity Makeup Artist, to be apart of the first ever MASTER COURSE in New York City where she learned hands on from Mario.
Bav believes in being a continuous learner in the makeup industry, because there is a new trend, technique, and product to learn about everyday. Till today she pushes herself in all areas to share her love for fashion, hair and makeup by blogging, making videos and most importantly glamming her clients for special events and photoshoots.
